We stayed 4 nights in Athens in a clean apartment with good AC in a safe area about 20 minutes’ walk from the Acropolis. The metro station was 10 minutes away, giving us access to many parts of the city and even the airport (with a pricier ticket). The shower was good though a bit splashy, and having a washing machine was really handy, plus the owner communicated well.
